Q. 1. At what point of journey in his dream did the author hear the throbbing sound of wings? (L.B 2011)

Ans. The writer heard the slow throbbing sound of the wings when he was going up and nothing remained a faint luminosity buried beneath darkness.

Q. 2. What time of the year was it?

Ans. It was about a fortnight after Christmas.

Q. 3. What does the author like about Christmas? (L.B 2007, 2014, FB. 2009, GB 2009)

Ans. The writer likes about Christmas because it makes people good and they start doing noble deeds. All men and women become generous quite suddenly.

Q. 4. Write down the good deeds the author has admitted are a great joy on Christmas.

Ans. The write likes about Christmas as it makes everybody good. The lovely sentiments, the people go about repeating. The noble deeds, they do a little before Christmas up to the end of January. All men and women become generous quite suddenly.

Q. 5. Why are the noble deeds always a great joy for the author? (L.B 2016, RWB. 2009, GB. 2009)

Ans. Noble deeds are always a great joy for the author because they bring spiritual happiness, benefit and satisfaction for human beings.

  3) Method of Imperative Sentences Recognition : - The reported speech of these sentences always starts with 1 st form of verb. These sentences show the sense of order, advice, request or forbidden (forbade) Changes:- i)           At the place of “said or said to” write ordered, advised, requested or forbade” according to the sense of the sentence. ii)        At the place of “commas” write “to”. iii)      Tense is not changed.
