A Farmer and His Three Sons Once, an old farmer lived in a village. He was respected for his wisdom throughout the village. People used to get advice from him. He had three quarrelsome sons. The farmer was very upset about them. He advised them not to quarrel but they paid no heed. There was no day of the week, when they did not quarrel because they did know this fact. "There is more power in unity than division." One day, the farmer fell seriously ill. He decided to teach his sons the lessons of unity. He asked them to fetch a bundle of sticks.
