God’s Attributes

Q. 1. How many attributes are mentioned in the poem?

Ans. Three attributes of God are mentioned in the poem. They are, “Seeing, Hearing and Knowing”.

Q. 2. What makes one scared of sinning?

Ans. If we believe in the “Seeing” of God, it may scare us from sinning.

Q. 3. What are the effects of the attributes of God?

Ans. The attributes of God have a strong effect on the person, who has firm belief in them. These may save him from committing crimes. Crime does not mean judicial crime only. These crimes may be social or ethical.

Q. 4. Mention three more attributes of God.

Ans. i) Omnipotent: Having unlimited authority.

ii) Omnipresent: Present in all places at all times.

iii) Beneficent: Very kind

Q. 5. What is the reason God calls Himself, “Seeing”?

Ans. If we commit a sin keeping in mind that nobody is seeing us, we are mistaken. God calls Himself, “Seeing” so that we can refrain ourselves from sinning.

Q. 6. What is the impact of God’s attribute of “Hearing”?

Ans. If we believe that God always hears, we should avoid taking part in absurd talk.

Q. 7. What happens, if we trust in the “knowing” of God?

Ans. If we have complete trust in the “knowing” of God, we may stop evil ideas even before, they take place.

Q. 8. What is the massage or moral lesson of the poem?

Ans. The poet gives us the massage that we should have complete faith in the attributes of God. This faith can save us from sinning and enable us to be humble human beings.

Q. 9. What are the three attributes of God mentioned in the poem? (LB. 2010, 11)

Ans. Three attributes of God are mentioned in the poem. They are, “Seeing, Hearing and Knowing”.

Q. 10. How do the attributes of God affect man’s character?

Ans. If a person has strong belief in God’s “Seeing, Hearing, and Knowing”, he will definitely think before sinning. He will hesitate to take part in any sinful act. So, these attributes help him to develop his character to such an extent that he becomes a useful member of the society.

Q. 11. How do these attributes help in refining the character of a person?

Ans. If a person thinks, these attributes of God can help him in refining his character. He will definitely think before sinning if he believes that God is seeing him. Similarly, he will hesitate to take part in such discourse as is not fair because he has a strong belief in the hearing of God.

A person who trusts the knowing of God can never design an evil against anyone because he knows that God knows everything. So, these attributes help him to develop his character to such an extent that he becomes a useful member of the society.
