Q. 1. How does Kreton prove his extraordinary powers?

Ans. Kreton can read people’s mind. He proves it by telling others about their thoughts. He can speak all the languages. He makes an invisible wall around his spaceship and shuts its door. The soldiers are unable to destroy it. They want to arrest Kreton and rush towards him but within a foot of him, they stop, stunned. They cannot touch him.

Q. 2. What is the purpose of Kreton's visit? (LB. 2009, 11, GWB 2009, FSB 2011)

Ans. Kreton says that he is hobbyist and loves to gad about (roam, wander) and his visit is impromptu. In the end, he also tells that he has come to take change of the whole world.

Q. 3. How much advanced is the civilization of Kreton than that of the earth? (LB. 2007, 11, RWB 2009)

Ans. Kreton claims that the civilization on the planet earth is just beginning. They can read the minds of earthly people. They can travel in machines without instruments. The civilization of earth cannot be compared with the civilization of Kreton. They see everyone through special monitors and recreations.

Ans. The people of the earth cannot compete with the people of Kreton in terms of knowledge, science and technology.

Ans. Violence is very dangerous for human race. It disturbs the peace of society. When young people do not get proper placement in the society, they create violence in it. It creates a sense of insecurity among the masses. The flow of business stops and the country suffers.

Q. 6. What type of life do you foresee in the year 5000? (LB. 2010, RWB 2009)

Ans. In the year 5000, we can foresee a life occupied by machines. We may enjoy the visit to Mars and other planets. A cricket match on moon may be played in the year 5000. We can foresee robots working everywhere. We can also foresee a world without war and terrorism.

Q. 7. How impressive were the morals of Kreton? (LB. 2007, GWB 2009, 11, FSB 2009)

Ans. Kreton was very polite throughout the play. General Powers asked him irritating questions but he did not lose his temperament. General Powers and his soldiers tried to destroy his spaceship but he did not react furiously despite having power. Kreton showed his courtesy, tolerance and patience.

Ans. General Powers is leading a team of soldiers who try to arrest Kreton. He commands and controls his team and informs the Chief of army staff about the happenings.

Ans. Kreton says that he has studied the planet earth and its inhabitants. This is his favourite theme of study.

Ans. Kreton reads the mind of General Powers and tells him that he is thinking about his promotion. Kreton makes an invisible wall around his spaceship. When Powers and his soldiers try to arrest him, he stops them within a foot of him. They cannot touch him.
