 Present Continuous Tense

Recognition  in Urdu:      رہا ہے، رہی ہے، رہے ہیں،

                                                رہا ہوں، رہی ہوں، رہے ہو

Method of Making

Active: Subject + is, are, am + 4th form (1st f+ ing) + Object.

               They are learning English.

He, She, It and Singular noun-------- is

                   I -------------- am

We, They, You and Plural noun ------ are

Method of Negative Making

Active: Subject + is, are, am + not + 4th form + Object.

          They are not learning English.

Method of Interrogative Making

Active:  Is, Are, Am + Subject + 4th form + Object?

          Are they learning English?

وہ  دودھ پی رہا ہے۔

Simp: Amna is writing a letter.

آمنہ ایک خط لکھ رہی ہے۔

Int: Is Amna writing a letter?

Simp: They are playing in the ground.

وہ میدان میں کھیل رہے ہیں۔

Simp: I am waiting for Ahmad.

میں احمد کا انتظار کر رہا ہوں۔

Simp: You are making a noise.

تم شور مچا رہے ہو۔

بچہ  کمرے میں سورہا ہے۔

دادی اماں عجیب کہانی سنا رہی ہیں۔

Simp: We are taking rest.

ہم آرام کر رہے ہیں۔

Simp: They are dividing the property.

وہ جائیداد تقسیم کر رہے ہیں۔

مالی پودوں کو پانی دے رہا ہے۔

ہم  خبریں سن رہے ہیں۔

Simp: Driver is driving the car fast.

ڈرائیور  کار تیز چلا رہا ہے۔

Neg: Driver is not driving the car fast.      

Int: Is driver driving the car fast?

عورتیں  کپڑے دھو رہی ہیں۔

Neg: Women are not washing clothes.

  3) Method of Imperative Sentences Recognition : - The reported speech of these sentences always starts with 1 st form of verb. These sentences show the sense of order, advice, request or forbidden (forbade) Changes:- i)           At the place of “said or said to” write ordered, advised, requested or forbade” according to the sense of the sentence. ii)        At the place of “commas” write “to”. iii)      Tense is not changed.
