Active Passive of

Present Continuous Tense

Recognition in Urdu:      رہا ہے، رہی ہے، رہے ہیں،

                                                رہا ہوں، رہی ہوں، رہے ہو،      

Method of Making/ Changing into P.V

Active: Subject + is, are, am + 4th form (1st + ing) + Object.

          They are learning English.

Passive: Object + is, are, am + being + 3rd form + by + Subject.

          English is being learnt by them.

He, She, It and Singular noun-------- is

                   I -------------- am

We, They, You and Plural noun ------ are

Method of Negative Making

Active: Subject + is, are, am + not + iv form + Object.

          They are not learning English.

Passive: Object + is, are, am + not + being + 3rd form + by + Subject.

          English is not being learnt by them.

Method of Interrogative Making

Active:  Is, Are, Am + Subject + 4th form + Object?

          Are they learning English?

Passive: Is, Are, Am + Object + being + 3rd form + by + Subject?

          Is English being learnt by them?

Neg: Students are not decorating the 

school.

The school is not being decorated 

by students.

Neg: Gardener is not watering the plants.

The plants are not being watered by

 gardener.

Neg: We are not listening to the news.

The news is not being listened to 

by us.

Int: Is the driver driving the car fast?

Is the car being driven by the driver?

Int: Are women washing clothes?

Are clothes being washed by women?

Int: Is he drinking milk?

Is milk being drunk by him?
