Present Indefinite Tense

Recognition in Urdu:    تا ہے، تی ہے،  تے ہیں

                        تا ہوں،  تی ہوں،  تے ہو

Method of Making

Active: Subject + 1st form + s, es + Object.                                           

          She washes clothes.

He, She, It and Singular noun-------- 1st form + s, es

I, We, They, You and Plural noun ------- 1st from

Method of Negative Making

Active: Subject + do, does + not + 1st form + Object.

          She does not wash clothes.

He, She, It and Singular noun-------- does + not + 1st form

I, We, They, You and Plural noun ------ do + not + 1st from

Method of Interrogative Making

Active: Do, Does + Subject + 1st form + Object?

          Does she wash clothes?

Note:         Add “es” with that word which ends with

one of these, s, ss, sh, ch, x, o,  

(For example: washes, goes, watches)

Simp: He reads good books.

وہ اچھی کتابیں پڑھتاہے۔

Simp: Alia always speaks the truth.

عالیہ ہمیشہ سچ  بولتی ہے۔

ہم روزانہ اخبار پڑھتے ہیں۔

 اسلم عید پر نئے جوتے خریدتاہے۔

Simp: She accepts her mistake.

وہ  اپنی غلطی تسلیم کرتی ہے۔

Simp: I  read a story daily.

میں  روزانہ ایک کہانی  پڑھتا ہوں۔

Int: Do I read a story daily?

Simp: Goat gives milk.

بکری  دودھ دیتی ہے۔

Neg: Goat does not give milk.

Int: Does goat give milk?

Simp: They take bath in the river.

وہ دریا میں نہاتے ہیں۔

Neg: They do not take bath in the river.    

Int: Do they take bath in the river.

Simp: People play cricket match.

لوگ کرکٹ میچ دیکھتے ہیں۔

Neg: People do not play cricket match.     

Int: Do people play cricket match?

Simp: He works in this office.

وہ اس دفتر میں کام کرتا ہے۔

Neg: He does not work in this office.

  3) Method of Imperative Sentences Recognition : - The reported speech of these sentences always starts with 1 st form of verb. These sentences show the sense of order, advice, request or forbidden (forbade) Changes:- i)           At the place of “said or said to” write ordered, advised, requested or forbade” according to the sense of the sentence. ii)        At the place of “commas” write “to”. iii)      Tense is not changed.
