Q. 1:-   What is an ICU in a hospital?

Ans:    ICU stands for Intensive Care Unit. The people who are seriously ill or injured are taken care in this unit of the hospital.

Q. 2:-   To what extent does the recovery of a patient depend upon the doctor and the nurse?

Ans:    The recovery of the patient depends upon the doctor and the nurse to a large extent that a patient can not recover with out their treatment and proper care.

Q. 3:-   What do you infer about her professional skills from the expression, try once for her?

Ans:    From this expression, we infer that the nurse is very kind, sincere, devoted, caring and well aware of the fact that a good doctor should strive his level best to treat his patient.

Ans:    The nurse asked Hira’s sister to talk to her thinking that the voice of a near and dear one might activate the nearly dead neurons of Hira.

Ans:    The nurse disagreed with the doctor’s point of view because she thought that it was wrong to leave such a hopeless patient like Hira unattended.

fight the decision of senior and more qualified surgeons?

Ans:    She asked this question to herself because she did not have as much knowledge as the doctors had, she could not justify her stance.

Q. 4:-   Describe some qualities of the personality of the nurse in the story.

Ans:    The nurse in the story is so sympathetic and kind to the patients that she can not leave them unattended at any cost. She is very dutiful. She feels very happy to see her patients recovering. She tries her best to look after her patients in a better way.

Q. 5:-   Why did the nurse say, “Where there is a will, there is a way”?

Ans:    The nurse said so because a man can also accomplish impossible tasks with strong will power and positive thinking as she proved it practically.
