iii) Change of Pronoun
i. First Person Pronoun (I, My, Me, Myself, We, Our, Us, Ourselves)
The first
person pronoun of the reported speech is changed according to
the subject
of the reporting speech, such as,
Direct Speech: - He said to me, “I am doing my work.”
Indirect Speech: - He
told me that he was doing his work.
ii. Second Person Pronoun (You, Your, You, Yourself/ Yourselves)
The
second person pronoun of the reported speech is changed according to
the object
of the reporting speech, such as,
Direct Speech: - He said to me, “You are doing your
work.”
Indirect Speech: - He
told me that I was doing my work.
iii. Third Person Pronoun
(She, Her, Her, Herself, He, His, Him, Himself,
They, Their, Them, Themselves, It, Its, It, Itself)
The
third person pronoun of the reported speech is not changed, such
as,

Direct
Speech: - He
said, “She is doing her work.”
Indirect Speech: - He said that she was doing her work.
