Subject:        Request to Attend the Marriage Ceremony

Respected Sir,

                           Most respectfully, it is stated that I am a student of intermediate/metric part I, in this college/school. The marriage date of my elder brother is fixed and it is exactly a week from now. As it is rightly said,

          “Marriages are settled in the heaven but celebrated on earth”.

             As you know that I belong to a nearby village of this city. I have to leave for my village early before the ceremony. So that I may attend all the events of the marriage ceremony, including Mehndi, Baraat, Walima and Maclawa. As it is wisely said,

“A good marriage is a contest of generosity.”

             I wish to reach my home two days before the fixed date because I have to make all the arrangements according to the ceremony. It will be so much fun because all of our relatives are coming.

             I shall not be able to come to the college for six days during this week. Kindly, grant me leave for six days. I shall be very thankful to you for this kindness.
