32. Story: Do good, have good, The Bee and the Dove, (9th/1st Year/BA/B. Sc) by AG Ahmad

Moral Story No: 32

Do good, have good.

The Bee and the Dove

There was a shady tree on the bank of a river. There was a dove's nest in that tree. A bee also lived there. They were good friends. One day, the bee felt very thirsty. She went to the river to drink water. She fell into the river by chance. She was driven away by the waves.

The dove saw all this from her nest. She took pity on the bee. She plucked a leaf from the tree and dropped it near the bee. She climbed over that, dried up her wings and flew away. She was greatly thankful to the dove.

A few days later, a hunter came there. He saw the dove sitting in her nest. He loaded his gun to shoot her down. The bee happened to see all that. She flew towards him and stung him on his hand. He was just pulling the trigger. He missed the aim and the dove flew away.
