Subject:        Request for Shortage of Facilities in College Library

Respected Sir,

                           Most respectfully, it is stated that I am a student of intermediate/metric part I, in this college/school. I want to draw your kind attention towards the bad condition of our college/ /school library. Our college/school library is situated on the road side. The peace and serenity of the library is disturbed by the fast speeded vehicles and noisy automobiles. A college/school library is a place of learning but unfortunately, our library has become a graveyard of learning. As it is rightly said,

“Libraries are not made; they grow.”

            Due to its bad location, the students do not visit it and study any magazine or newspaper. The broken chairs and dusty tables of the library leave a very bad influence on the visitors. The library is seldom swept or cleaned. The book shelves are not arranged orderly. The students face great difficulty in searching a book. There is no catalogue of books in the library. As it is said,

 “Books add a lot to our knowledge.

                                                They are our best friends.”   

            Books on important subjects like computer, literature, art and science are not sufficient in number. Most of the good books are taken away by the college staff and they do not return them in time. Books on poetry and short stories do not find way to the library. It is unfortunate that no monthly or weekly magazine comes in the library. The college /school library has only old books which do not have latest knowledge on any subject. As it is rightly said,

“Books add a lot to our knowledge.

They are our best friends.”

            The college /school librarian is an old man of bad tempered. He does not stimulate the interest of the students to study books. He is a dry and bore person. He does not help and guide the students in the selection of books. He is a man quite hostile to things of learning and knowledge.

Kindly, look into the affair of the college library and improve its condition.

Someone has wisely said,

“A library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life.”

            I shall be very thankful to you for this kindness.
