Letter for Normal Students

Write a letter to your cousin/uncle/friend/brother inviting him on you brother’s/sister’s marriage.

Examination Hall,

A.B.C. (City)

May 26, 2023.

          Dear Cousin/Friend,

Asslam-o-Alaikum! With great blessings of Allah Almighty, I am enjoying sound health and hope that the same case will be with you because,

“Health and good state of body are above all goods.”

I am specially writing this letter to invite you on the marriage of my brother/sister. The marriage date of my elder brother/sister is fixed and it is exactly 20th of next month. Guests from bride's/groom’s house will come with dishes of mehndi with burning candles, erected in them. As, some-one has rightly said,

“A candle loses nothing by lighting the surrounding.”

Melodious wedding songs will be sung by ladies till late at night. The boys will also sing different songs. Some boys will dance on this festive ceremony. As, it is rightly said,

“Enjoy life and great pleasures that come with it.”

The Wallima ceremony will be held in the hall. It is expected that a large number of relatives and family friends will join us for the ceremony. We shall really enjoy this marriage ceremony. As it is wisely said,

“A good marriage is a contest of generosity.”

Indeed, it will be a memorable occasion for all of us. I hope that you will come four days before the marriage day, so that you can help me in shopping as well.

I am not sending any formal letter to you because I think that our friendship is above formalities now. If you want, my mother will talk to your mother for permission.

Pay my regards to all at home.

Yours affectionately,

X.Y. Z.

His/her fiancé lives in the nearby town so we will have a combined function of Mehndi a day before the wedding.

The Wallima ceremony will be held in the ground adjoining to our home. It is expected that a large number of relatives and family friends will join us for the ceremony. It will be more fun for us because all of our old friends are coming. We shall really enjoy this marriage ceremony. As it is wisely said,

“A good marriage is a contest of generosity.”

Indeed, it will be a memorable occasion for all of us. The Nikah ceremony will also be very good. We shall all pray for the happy and prosperous married life of my brother/sister. As, it is wisely said,

“There is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship,

companionship or company than a good marriage.”

I hope that you will come four days before the marriage day, so that you can help me in shopping as well. I am not sending any formal letter to you because I think that our friendship is above formalities now. You can avail the facility of Daewoo bus service for travelling.

If you want, my mother will talk to your mother for permission.

Pay my regards to all at home.

Yours affectionately,

X.Y. Z.
