Letter No: 22

Letter for Normal Students

Write a letter to your father telling him about the profession you like to follow.

 Examination Hall,

A.B.C. (City)

May 26, 2023.

          Dear Father,

Asslam-o-Alaikum! I received your kind letter two days ago. I am very happy to learn that all of you are feeling well. As it is rightly said,

“Health and good state of body are above all goods.”

I am glad that you have asked my interest about choosing a profession. Actually, I want to choose a suitable career according to my interest and satisfaction. As it is wisely said,

“Children now expect their parents to audition their approval.”

I don't know which road, I should take. Sometimes, I want to become a lawyer, but this profession is overcrowded. Most of the lawyers earn money through evil means. As it is rightly said,

“I never saw any lawyer yet

who would admit that he is making money.”

Moreover, the competition is hard. I cannot settle down as a business man. The life led by a business man is soul killing. I know that you are not in the favour of teaching as its income is meager. As it is wisely said,

“Teaching is not job. It is a lifestyle.

It permits your whole life.”

Uncle Jameel has told me that in the field of chemical engineering, there is a better scope of obtaining a job. A person well versed in Chemistry can find a job in a fertilizer company or chemical industry or in a pharmaceutical company. As, some-one has rightly said,

“The great men of science are supreme artists.”

Besides this, Chemistry is my favourite subject and I shall obtain more than 90% marks in it.

Pay my regards to all at home and love to youngsters.

Yours affectionately,

X.Y. Z.

Letter for Brilliant Students

Write a letter to your father telling him about the profession you like to follow.

May 26, 2023.

          Dear Father,

Asslam-o-Alaikum! I received your kind letter two days ago. I am very happy to learn that all of you are feeling well. You have asked me about my interest and health which is very precious for everyone. As it is rightly said,

“Health and good state of body are above all goods.”

Thank you very much for your kind letter. I am glad that you have not imposed your ambitious direction upon me about choosing a profession as parents of most of the students do. As it is wisely said,

“Children now expect their parents to audition their approval.”

Instead you have asked my interest. Actually, I want to choose a suitable career according to my interest and satisfaction. Our teachers have advised us to follow a profession in accordance with our interest. As it is rightly said,

"No man is born into the world

whose work is not born with

him; there is always work"

As a matter of fact, it is a question which puzzles my brain. I am a prey of all sorts of fears and hopes. I don't know which road, I should take. Sometimes, I want to become a lawyer, but this profession is so overcrowded. There is absolutely no scope for beginner.

As far as the medical profession is concerned, there is already large crowd of doctors who are in search of jobs. I think I should adopt some science subject for specialization. As some-one has wisely said,

“Science is a wonderful thing

if one does not have to earn one’s living at it.”
