Letter No. 15.

Letter for Brilliant Students

Write a letter to your friend thanking him for the books he lent to you.

Examination Hall,

A. B. C. (City)

October 10, 2022.

 Dear Friend,

Asslam -o –Alaikum! I hope that this letter will find you in the best of your health and spirits. As, Hazrat Ali (R.A) has rightly said,

“A healthy mind can realize Allah well.”

I was extremely delighted to receive the English novels you lent me the day before yesterday. I am really grateful to you for this kindness. You not only sent me the books which I asked for but also a few other novels of your own choice. As, it is wisely said,

“Books add a lot to our knowledge.

They are our best friends.”

These novels and the books show that you have developed a very good taste and keen interest in English literature. As, some-one has said,

Literature becomes the living memory of a nation.”

I have already started reading these books. They are very much interesting and amusing. They also inform us about the history. As it is wisely said:

Reading of a good book is like a conversation with finest men of past century.”

I hope to develop the same fine taste. I shall buy English books and novels for my collection. You can also read them because now I believe that,

“Reading of books is a pleasure

but to own them is bliss.”

Once again, thank you for this kind favour. I promise to keep them with great care and will return you after reading them. But it is said,

“He who lends a book is an idiot.

He who returns the book is more of an idiot.”

Please, convey my regards to your parents and other family members.

With best wishes,

Yours affectionately,

X. Y. Z.
