Dear Sister,

          Asslam -o – Alaikum! I hope, this letter of mine will find you in the best of your health and spirits. As it is wisely said,

“Health and good estate of body are above all goods.”

          I got your gift of a book, on my birthday. Honestly speaking, I rather felt boredom at first to find a book as a gift but the title of the book aroused my interest which was

    “Lives of Hundred Great Men”

Although, it was written by a Christian writer but I was extremely glad and overjoyed to see the name of our Holy Prophet (S. A. W.) on the top of the list. As it is rightly said,

“Reading of a good book is like a conversation with finest men of past century.”

          The writer has paid a rich homage to our Holy Prophet (S. A. W.) by ranking him as the most important and influential personality of the world. As Hazrat Ayesha (R. A) has wisely said,

“His morals and character are an embodiment of the Holy Quran.”

          Your precious gift will prove a guiding star for me. It is the best expression of your affection. I have no words to express my gratitude for your great gift. I am really thankful to you for this informative gift. It is rightly said,

“Books add a lot to our knowledge.

They are our best friends.”
