Q. 1. What is the harm of having clear
images?
Ans. If we assume that we have clear images, we become over confident
and stops pondering. It curbs our faculties and makes us dull.
Q. 2. What is good in being slow and
having broken images?
Ans. If we think slowly, we can better differentiate between right and
wrong. If we have broken images, we work hard to make them clear. Consequently,
we become sharp.
Q. 3. What is the message or theme of the
poem?
Ans. The poet gives us a message that we should not become satisfied
with ourselves. We should keep on learning the hard facts of life.
Q. 4. What is the state of two persons,
one who trusts clear images and the other who mistrusts the broken images?
Ans. The person who trusts his clear images becomes dull because of
his complacency. Whereas, the person who mistrusts his broken images becomes
sharp because he tries to take his images clear.
Q. 5. Why does a person question his
senses when the facts fall him?
Ans. A person questions his senses, when the facts fail him because he
has established relevance with the facts. He is very clear about his images.
Suddenly, when the facts fail him, he starts questioning his senses. He is not
ready to doubt his clear images.
Q. 6. Who is in a new confusion of his
understanding?
Ans. The person who has clear images is in a new confusion of his
understanding.
Q. 7. What is the moral lesson or theme
or message of the poem? (LB. 2011)
Ans. The poem gives us a moral lesson. We should not become over
confident because it brings complacency. It makes us dull and we become
lethargic. We give up struggle. We should remain curious about the images of
life. We can have a better understanding of life through our inquisitive (curious)
nature.
