Ans:    The underlined phase “Eat, drink and be merry” can be related to this paragraph in a way that the span of life is very short so we should enjoy it in merry makings.

Ans:   The arising of the sun is so special for the author because it brings the dawn of a new day.

Q. 3:-   What does the revelation of beauty mean to her?

Ans:    The revelation of beauty means to her that she can feel the beauty of the nature. 

Q. 4:-   Why has she no time to waste in longings?

Ans:    She has not time to waste in regret for longings because the three days have given her a lot of revelations. More-over she is an optimistic woman.

Q. 5:-   What is the meaning of the underlined phrases?

Ans:    Being blind and deaf, the author feels the change of seasons with the touch of her finger

tips.

Q. 6:-   Explain the difference between facilities and opportunities.

Ans:    The difference between facilities and opportunities is that facilities mean relaxations given to a person and opportunities mean a time given to a person to prove him.

Ans:    The thought expressed by the author in the first paragraph is that we should make each day of our life meaningful and happy by becoming gentle and courageous.

Q. 3:-   What makes you feel that the author is sad and depressed?

Ans:    The author’s dearest wish to see the world around makes us feel that she is sad and depressed.

Q. 4:-   How do you get an impression that Hellen Keller was a great admirer of nature?

Ans:    She was a great admirer of nature, we get this impression when she admires the rising sun and the pageant of seasons and trees.

Q. 5:-   People who are deprived of sight are not devoid of imagination. Discuss, referring to the text.

Ans:    It is true as we see that though Hellen is deprived of sight yet she has knowledge of the world around her, based on her imagination.

Q. 6:-   To me the pageant of seasons is an unending drama, “Comment”.

Ans:    The author says that the pageant of seasons is an unending drama. It means that the change in the seasons is endless that is the law of nature.

  3) Method of Imperative Sentences Recognition : - The reported speech of these sentences always starts with 1 st form of verb.
