Hazrat Asma (RA)

English Paragraph No 1

          The Holy Prophet (SAW) and his close companion, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA), migrated from Makkah to Madina in the year 622 A.D. When the chiefs of various tribes of Makkah came to know about the migration of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and his close companion, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA), they got furious. The chiefs were determined more than ever to find them out. They offered huge rewards and bounties for their capture, dead or alive.

Urdu Translation

حضور (ﷺ) اور آپ(ﷺ) کے قریبی ساتھی حضرت ابوبکرؓ نے622 صدی عیسویں میں مکہ سے مدینے کی طرف ہجرت کی۔جب مکہ کے مختلف قبائل کے سرداروں کو حضور (ﷺ) اور آپؐ کےقریبی ساتھی حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کی ہجرت کےمتعلق علم ہوا  تووہ  غصے میں آگئے۔ سرداروں نے  انھیں تلاش کرنے کا پہلے سے بھی زیادہ پختہ ارادہ کر لیا ۔ انھوں نے آپ (ﷺ)کو زندہ یامردہ پکڑنے کے لیے بہت بڑے انعام اور دولت  کی پیش کش کی۔

English Paragraph No 2

     The preparation for this journey was made at the house of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA). Hazrat Asma (RA) rendered useful services in this regard. She prepared food for this journey. She tied the food on the camel back with her own belt as nothing else could be found. For this service she was given the title of Zaat-un-Nataqin by the Holy Prophet (SAW).

Urdu Translation

اس سفر کی تیاری حضرت ابوبکرؓ کے گھر میں کی  گئی۔ حضرت اسما  ء (رضی اللہ عنہا )نے اس سلسلے میں مفید خدمات  سرانجام دیں۔آپ نے اس سفرکے لیے کھاناتیار کیا۔  جب آپ کوکچھ  اور نہ  ملا تو آپ نے اپنی کمر بند سے کھانا اُونٹ کی پُشت پر باندھ دیا ۔ اس خدمت کے لئے، حضور (ﷺ) نے آپ کو  ذات النطاقین کا لقب عطا کیا۔

English Paragraph No 3

       During the perilous journey, it was very difficult for anyone to supply food to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The situation was so delicate that the slightest mistake could have endangered the life of the Holy Prophet (SAW). This grand task was nicely undertaken by Hazrat Asma (RA), the daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA). Every night, with the pack of food, she would quietly venture towards the rugged mountains in which lay the cave of Thawr. She took care of the minute detail in accomplishing the task. How difficult it must have been for here to traverse the rocky path at night, with the constant fear of being detected.

Urdu Translation

اس پُر خطر سفر کے دوران، حضرت محمد(ﷺ)کو کھانا فراہم کرنا کسی کے لیے بھی بہت مشکل تھا، کیو نکہ  یہ صورتحا ل اتنی نازک تھی کہ   معمولی سی غلطی بھی ،  آپ (ﷺ)کی زند گی کو خطرے میں ڈال سکتی تھی۔ یہ  عظیم کا م  حضرت ابو بکرصدیق ( رضی اللہ عنہ) کی بیٹی حضرت اسماء  (رضی اللہ عنہا) نے نہایت عمدگی  سے سر انجام دیا۔ ہر رات کھانے کے تھیلے کے ساتھ،آپ (رضی اللہ عنہ) خاموشی سے ناہموار  پہاڑیاں چڑھتی   جاتیں، جن میں غارثور واقع تھا ۔ آپؓ نے اپنے  کام کی تکمیل  میں  چھوٹی سے چھوٹی بات کو بھی مد نظر رکھا۔ آپ کے لئے،  پکڑے جانے کے مسلسل خوف کےساتھ رات کے وقت پتھریلے راستے پر سفر کرناکتنا مشکل ہوتا ہو گا۔

English Paragraph No 4

       On the night of the migration, a tribal chief of disbelievers, Abu Jehl, in a fit of fury headed towards Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique's (RA) home. He began to knock at the door violently. Addressing Hazrat Asma (RA), he demanded, "Where is your father?" She politely replied, "How would I know?" This response shows the wisdom and courage of Hazrat Asma (RA). She didn't make a statement that would give him a clue. She simply posed a counter question that infuriated Abu Jehl. He slapped Hazrat Asma's face so hard that her ear-ring fell off but she remained steadfast and did not reveal the secret.

Urdu Translation

ہجرت کی رات، کافروں کا ایک قبائلی سردار ابوجہل غصے کی حالت میں حضرت ابوبکر صدیق (رضی اللہ عنہ)کے گھر کی طرف  بڑھا۔  اُس نے شدت سے  دووازے پر دستک دینا  شروع کر دی ۔ حضرت اسماء (رضی اللہ عنہ) سے مخاطب ہوتے ہوئے،  اُس نےپوچھا۔"تمہارے والد کہاں ہے؟"آپ  نےنر می سے جواب دیا"مجھے کیسے معلوم ہوگا؟"یہ جواب حضرت اسماء (رضی اللہ عنہ)  کی عقل مندی اور حوصلے کو ظاہر کرتاہے ۔ آپ  نے کوئی بھی ایسا  بیان نہ دیا، جس سے اُسے کوئی اشارہ ملتا۔  آپ  نے سادہ سا تکراری سوال کیا، جس نے ابو جہل کوغصہ دلادیا۔ اُس نے حضرت اسماء(رضی اللہ عنہ)کے چہرے پر اتنی زورسےتھپڑ ماراکہ آپؓ کے کان کی بالی گر گئی، لیکن آپ ثابت قدم ر ہیں اور رازظاہر نہ کیا۔

English Paragraph No 5

         Her grandfather, Hazrat Abu Quhafaa was a disbeliever at that time. He was very old and had become blind. He said to her, "Asma, I think Abu Bakr has taken all the wealth, leaving you and children empty-handed and helpless." At this, she instantly ran to a corner of the home. She gathered some pebbles and put them at the place where her father used to keep his money and jewels. She covered it with a piece of cloth. "Come grandfather, look! he has left all this for us." He touched the cloth and thought it was full of gold and jewels. His concern was alleviated and he felt relieved to know that Abu Bakr Siddique (RA) had left all his wealth at home.

Urdu Translation

آپ  کے دادا جان،  حضرت ابوقحافہ اس وقت کافر تھے۔ وہ بہت بوڑھے تھےاور نابینا ہو چکے تھے۔ انہوں نے ، آپ  ( رضی اللہ عنہ) سے کہا "اسماء  میرے خیال میں،  ابوبکر تمھیں اور بچوں کوخالی ہاتھ اور بےبس  چھوڑتے ہوئے ، تمام  دولت اپنے ساتھ لےگیا ہے ۔"  اس پرآپ  فوراً   گھر کے ایک کونے کی طرف بھاگیں۔  آپ  نےکچھ کنکریاں اکٹھی کیں اور انھیں اُس جگہ رکھ دیا ، جہاں آپ کے والد،  اپنی دولت اور جواہرات رکھا کرتے تھے۔آپ  نے،  اسے کپڑے کے ایک ٹکڑے سے ڈھانپ دیا۔ "آئیے داد جان ،دیکھئے،  وہ یہ سب کچھ ہمارے لیے چھوڑ گئےہیں۔"انھوں نے کپڑے کو چھُوااور اسے سونے اور جواہرات سےبھراہوا خیال کیا۔ان کی رغبت کم ہوگئی اور انھوں نے ،  یہ جان کرسکون محسوس کیا کہ  ابوبکر اپنی تمام دولت گھر پر چھوڑ گیا تھا۔

English Paragraph No 6

         Hazrat Asma (RA) was amongst the early few who accepted Islam. She was the daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA) and step sister of Hazrat Ayesh Siddiqua (RA). She was wife of Hazrat Zubair bin al-Awwam (RA) and mother of Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair (RA). She died at the ripe old age of about hundred years. Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair (RA) used to say that he had not seen anybody more generous and open hearted  than his aunt Hazrat Ayesha (RA) and his mother. Hazrat Asma (RA) was so generous that she sold the garden inherited and gave away all the money to the poor and the needy. Nobody ever returned empty-handed from her doorstep.

Urdu Translation

حضرت اسماء (  رضی اللہ عنہ)  اُن ابتدائی چند لوگوں میں سے تھیں،  جنہوں نے سب سے پہلے اسلام قبول کیا۔ آپ  حضرت  ابو بکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ کی بیٹی اور حضرت عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی سوتیلی بہن تھیں ۔ آپ حضرت  زبیر بن العوام  رضی اللہ عنہ کی زوجہ  اور حضرت  عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ کی والدہ  تھیں۔آپ نے تقریباً سو برس کی پختہ عمر میں وفات پائی ۔حضرت عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ  کہا کرتے تھےکہ انھوں نےاپنی خالہ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہ اور اپنی والدہ سے زیادہ سخی اور کھلے دل کا کسی کونہیں دیکھا تھا۔حضرت اسماء ( رضی اللہ عنہ)  اس قدر سخی  تھیں کہ آپ (رضی اللہ عنہ)  نے  ورا ثت  میں ملے ہوئے  باغ کو بیچ دیا اورتمام دولت  غریبوں اور ضرورت مندوں میں تقسیم کر دی۔ آپ کی دہلیز سے کبھی  بھی کوئی بھی خالی ہاتھ واپس نہیں گیا تھا۔

English Paragraph No 7

       Hazrat Asma (RA) will always be remembered for her courage, generosity and wisdom. She had resolute faith in Allah Almighty. Her life would always be a beacon of light for all of us.

Urdu Translation

حضرت اسماء ( رضی اللہ عنہ) کو ان کے حوصلے ، سخاوت اور عقلمندی کی وجہ سے ہمیشہ یاد رکھا جائے گا۔ آپ ؓ اللہ تعالیٰ پر پختہ ایمان رکھتی تھیں۔ آپ ؓ کی زندگی ہم سب کے لئے ہمیشہ روشنی کے مینار کی مانند ہو گی۔
